Andover Chamber Choir is a traditional mixed-voice adult group of experienced local singers, dedicated to performing a wide range of smaller-scale choral repertoire from across the centuries.
With a history dating back to 1971 as The Harmonium Singers, the group has performed in and around Andover for many years under the direction of Bruce Randall, often singing unaccompanied but occasionally with piano, organ or an instrumental ensemble. After a break enforced by the 2020 pandemic, there was a fresh start with a new name from January 2022. The choir remains committed to performing to a high standard and to raising money for local charities and good causes.
Our Easter concert at St Michael's, West Andover was in aid of Andover Young Carers (AYC) and over £1000 was raised for the charity.

Professor Michael Wheeler, chairman of the choir, said: "We are delighted to have raised over £1,000 for a cause that is close to our hearts, at a time when this particular charity needs all the financial help it can get."
Amanda Kelly, charity executive at AYC, said: "Andover Young Carers is absolutely delighted to accept a cheque from Andover Chamber Choir. As a small local charity, we rely on local fundraising and donations to ensure we can provide much-needed help, support, and fun for young carers in Andover." AYC provides support and respite for young carers, who often miss out on activities and outings due to their caring roles.
